You may be tempted to save money and install your own garage epoxy with a DIY kit but don’t be fooled: the product quality and preparation can’t come close to professional grade results. Our garage epoxy floor installers use only industrial-grade 100% solids epoxy and mechanical diamond floor grinding for a floor system that can last 20 years or longer — not the year or two you get from a DIY kit.
To guarantee long-lasting results, we start every epoxy garage floor with thorough prep of the concrete floor including mechanical diamong grinding. This process leaves a smooth yet porous surface ideal for a strong epoxy bond. We also use mohs hardness kit to determine hardness of concrete and tramex to determine moisture content.
Once the concrete has been ground, we move onto repairing any cracks, holes and other imperfections. This stem is essential in ensuring the structural integrity of both the concrete floor and your new epoxy flooring.
Once the concreete is ready, we move on to appling 100% solids epoxy basecoat in your chosen color. If a primer is needed we will apply this prior the basecoat. Once the basecoat is apply we will apply the floor system you have chosen - epoxy flake floor or metallic epoxy floor.
The final step in our floor installation is to seal your floor with a protective UV stable top coat. The topcoat is designed to protect the floors from stains, damage, wear and tear, fading and discoloration.
